Jessica Lara is a Risk Operations Analyst at Inscribe, where she reviews documents flagged for potential fraud across Inscribe's network of U.S. financial institutions. She evaluates AI-generated and AI-edited documents daily, tracking how fraud patterns evolve across document types and submission methods.

Her work focuses on document pattern recognition: identifying the signals that separate a real document from a fraudulent one, including the signals that fraudsters are actively working to erase. Her observations on AI-edited document fraud, a category harder to detect than fully AI-generated fakes and not yet measurable in aggregate, inform Inscribe's mid-year research.

Jessica was a featured analyst on Inscribe's Good Question podcast, where she discussed the evolution of AI document fraud from obviously fake to increasingly convincing, and what fraud teams need to do before they see it in their own queues.
